 The team

The Content department is responsible for selecting and overseeing all the programming we broadcast across our linear channels ITV1, ITV2, ITVBe, ITV3 and ITV4 and our streaming service, ITVX. The team commission and acquire a wide range of content every year, across all genres, everything from documentaries to dramas, entertainment, news and sport.

High quality editorial information about our programmes is vital in ensuring our viewers get the best possible experience wherever they watch our shows.

The role

The Content Coordinator will work closely with the genre Commissioning teams and will be responsible for sourcing, entering and maintaining editorial information for programmes acquired and commissioned by ITV in the department’s content systems to a high standard.

They will act as a key point of contact for in-house and Independent Producers and Suppliers, providing guidance on their delivery requirements and chasing any missing programme information.

They will provide support with any central administrative tasks and ad hoc projects as required that relate to our content such as helping with reporting and info gathering

Key Responsibilities:.

·       Accurately setting up and curating new commissions, developments and acquisitions in the department’s digital system in order to ensure a smooth sign off process and maintain core programme information through to delivery so it can be used by teams along the supply chain dependent on this information.

·       Providing administrative support in the smooth running of the commissioning process by liaising closely with key teams in the Content division 

·       To advise and guide producers and suppliers on their delivery requirements, editorial, technical and paper, during varying stages of production.  

·       Chase and quality assure billings and synopses before passing on down the supply chain

·       Building relationships with in-house and Independent suppliers and pro-actively chase missing information if requested by other departments. 

·       Embedded with the genre team and familiarise with the content slate, ensuring any key updates are captured in relevant  systems.

·       Be active in the shaping and development of the digital tools used in the department 

·       Liaise with colleagues right across ITV such as ITVX Editorial team, Legal and Business Affairs, Content Supply and Distribution teams and help with queries.

·       Support tracking and reporting requirements in Commissioning and Acquisitions team, such as Albert 

·       Protect the integrity and sensitivity of the data.

·       Help inform and maintain ITV Contractual Deliverables documents

·       Assist in maintenance of itv.com Commissioning pages and internal Commissioning site.

·       Cover for rest of team as required

·       Ad hoc administrative projects as required that support ITV’s Content team

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

      Previous experience in a TV production environment with a good understanding of the production process

      Administrative experience

      Able to demonstrate forensic attention to detail eg proof reading and written skills

·       Good understanding of the production process

·       Digitally-skilled and confident in adopting and using new technology. Skills/experience with regard to maintaining websites or google sites is a bonus.

·       Excellent organisational skills

·       Excellent communication skills 

·       Discretion and confidentiality essential 

·       Ability to work accurately under pressure

·       Someone who is motivated, proactive, and a team player but also able to work on their own initiative

·       Personable, friendly and confident

·       Possess a keen attitude and a willingness to learn
