 The team

We are recruiting for a Director to lead our Transformation Management Office; this is a small, high-performing team with responsibility for leading and overseeing ITV’s strategic transformation initiatives.

This role is responsible for aligning programmes with the company’s overall business strategy, ensuring that transformation goals are met within set scope, timelines and budget. The Director will manage change across multiple functions, foster senior stakeholder engagement, and drive continuous improvement efforts to support business growth and operational excellence. The role operates within a fast paced, dynamic environment and as such the Director must be adaptable and able to work with evolving priorities.

The role

As the TMO Leader, you will develop and manage the transformation roadmap in alignment with business strategy, advising the Executive Leadership Team on all portfolio aspects.

You'll oversee complex, multi-divisional transformation programmes, establishing frameworks for smaller initiatives and ensuring governance, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration.

By implementing effective change management strategies, you'll foster a culture of innovation, driving smooth transitions to new processes. Additionally, you will establish KPIs, track performance, and report outcomes to the Executive Committee and Boards, intervening to optimise underperforming programs.

With a team of 15 and a managed budget, you'll coordinate resources, including external partners, to support transformation goals efficiently.

Engaging key stakeholders like Board members, divisional heads, and partners, you’ll lead the Transformation Steering Group and attend relevant governance bodies to ensure alignment, transparency, and successful programme delivery.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Highly experienced in strategy, programme management, transformational leadership, or similar roles, preferably within a large, matrixed organisation.
  • Proven experience in leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, change management and business process reengineering.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale programmes on time and within budget.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams to drive collaboration and manage issues and dependencies.
  • Media experience is desirable.

Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional programme management skills with a deep understanding of programme lifecycle methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Experience with digital transformation, process automation, and new technology adoption is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Expertise in change management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
