ITV Apprentice- Commercial Sales Assistant

Department- Commercial

Office location- ITV White City London

Office days:  Currently 2 days a week in the office but subject to change. Potential expectation is full time in the office for first few months

Duration: 24 months (This is a full time role from Monday to Friday - 35.5 hours per week)

Qualification: Level 4 Sales Executive

Salary: £24,355 - £27,442 (Reflective of London Living)

The team

ITV is the biggest commercial television network in the UK, broadcasting some of the most talked about television programmes across the globe. Our ITV Commercial team is responsible for bringing in the advertising revenue that helps fund ITV's programming.

However, our Commercial team isn’t just about advertising sales jobs, you’ll need to know the broadcasting and online markets inside out.  With an ever-changing marketplace and a multitude of new platforms just waiting for you to tap into, selling TV advertising has never been so exciting. The role 

There will be 2 successful candidates for this Apprenticeship.

●        Supporting your exec with booking of advertising airtime across the ITV channels.

●        Monitoring ad campaigns for a portfolio of clients.

●        Lots of communication with team and clients

●        Working on our bespoke sales system

●        Programme and media knowledge

●        Maintaining excellent customer relationships. 

Other attributes we’re looking for (key criteria) -

●        A clear understanding & passion for the apprenticeship role you are applying for as well as ITV

●        Have a willingness to learn new skills with the appropriate training

●        Demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude’

●        You will be technically literate, and will be ready to adapt to changing technologies and practices.

●        You will be friendly and approachable, respectful to all of your ITV colleagues

●        You’ll have the ability to maintain a positive attitude, even when under pressure and working to deadlines

●        A desire to develop a career in commercial sales at ITV

●        Highly motivated with an ability to prioritise and work well under pressure to ensure all deadlines are met

●        You will be able to communicate at all levels within the business to build internal and external relationships.

●        Ideally you will have a passion for the media industry, ITV, what we do and how we do it

●        Excellent customer service skills with a confident telephone manner and the ability to communicate at all levels

●        Strong ability with numerical data, maths and reviewing data

Entry Criteria

For this apprenticeship, you need to have the below grades:

GCSE (or equivalent):

●        Maths - Grade C/4 or above

●        English Language or Literature - Grade C/4 or above

●        Plus 2 other subjects - Grade C/4 or above

A Level (or equivalent):

●        1 A Level - Grade C or above
