The team

The Royalty Team is responsible for the calculation and processing of Royalty Payments to contracted third party participants, usually key talent or production companies.  The team is responsible for driving best practice and creating innovations and improvements to streamline the royalty reporting procedure

 

The role

The Finance Royalty payments team are currently looking for a team member to join on a permanent basis. As the Royalty Payments Assistant; you will be responsible for the preparation, approval, distribution and payment of Royalty Statements. This is an interesting and exciting role for you to get an insider perspective at ITV in the Royalty payments Finance team. 

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure royalty statements are prepared and approved in line with contractual obligations and team deadlines.
• Raise payments relating to royalty statements where applicable.
• Distribute royalty statements where necessary to meet contractual deadlines.
• Resolve queries in a timely fashion.
• Manage your own workload in order to meet bi-monthly deadlines.
• Create complex financial statements based on contractual and legal agreements.
• Work within GDPR framework at all times to ensure the security of data.
• Provide support as required by the manager to cover colleagues’ workload when requested.
• Work with Line Manager to identify and act upon self-development and learning opportunities.
• Support ongoing and new projects as agreed with Line Manager.
• Develop good working relationships with other BSC teams and the wider ITV.
• Any other reasonable duties in support of departmental requirements.

 

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

• Must have previous experience in a similar role
• Qualifications - 6 GCSE’s grade A – C including English and Maths (or equivalent)
• Good Excel knowledge and practical experience

 

Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

• Ideally you will have experience using Oracle (or other integrated ERP software)
• Numerical analysis experience
• Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload
• Mass data cleansing and manipulation experience
• Experience of high volume financial payments
• Good communication skills and professional telephone manner
• Ability to build and maintain good stakeholder relationships
• Understanding of Media Rights and Media Distribution, and the current TV industry landscape
• Knowledge of process improvement techniques
• IT literate with practical experience the G Suite range of applications
