The role

  • Liaising with other departments (Rights, Legal, Finance, Materials, etc.) throughout the process of the sale from beginning to end;
  • Researching programme availabilities and developing sales opportunities;
  • Creating and maintaining detailed spreadsheets and lists combining availabilities (i.e. sales histories and underlying rights), language versions and all other relevant details of the programming that would be of interest to a buyer (e.g. year of production, duration, slot length, etc.);
  • Putting together detailed packages relating to the specific needs of individual clients;
  • Reading and understanding contractual agreements;
  • Maintaining existing relationships with buyers;
  • Sourcing new clients and maintaining client databases for all territories listed above;
  • Ordering screeners, logging the details and following up with the recipients;
  • Planning and organising sales trips and markets, including travel, meetings and materials;
  • Any other administrative duties that may arise from being a part of a busy sales team;

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Relevant experience of working in a media environment – preferably TV programme distribution – and interest in TV distribution business and digital distribution
  • Understanding of programme & TV distribution with a passion to increase knowledge
  • A high level of organisation, accuracy, creativity and enthusiasm 
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to work under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to hit the ground running and demonstrate initiative
  • Highly numerate & computer literate (Advanced Excel, Word and Google suite incl. Gmail) – must be very adaptable and confident with computer systems (particularly databases)


  • Excellent communication & presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to provide and share information clearly and concisely and maintain internal and external relationships
  • A proactive team player able to pitch in when needed with an ability to work for multiple internal stakeholders at different levels and set priorities
  • Languages (French, Italian and / or Spanish) would be an advantage.
