The role
The primary function of the Sponsorship Assistant is to assist the Sponsorship team, ensuring the smooth running of both general team activities and Sponsorship deals, whilst successfully managing and communicating our inventory. The Assistant is a key member of the team, with everyone relying on excellent standards of reporting and attention to detail.
This is an excellent entry-level role into the commercial side of the media industry.
This role will also require you to be the central point of contact and information source across the ITV Commercial team, in order to aid and support the sales process.
- Complete general administration duties for the team to include raising POs, booking couriers, maintaining shared drives and organising team events.
- Own and manage sponsorship inventory and how it is communicated both internally and externally.
- Support the Sponsorship Managers in their day to day account management of the partnerships for example, but not limited to, reporting, spreadsheets, ad hoc tasks & queries, input into presentations.
- Build an in-depth knowledge of all sponsorship deals both past and present. Ensure you are able to deal with general enquiries from both internal departments and external clients & agencies.
- Deliver robust sales documents and information on request for senior management, Commercial sales, media agencies and clients.
- Run audience reports and decipher the results for clients, also use the data to build solid sales arguments and build a story around performance.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Have a keen interest in the media and marketing landscape.
- Committed, hardworking and conscientious.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask and manage a busy workload.
- Helpful, proactive and self-motivated.
- Positive and upbeat.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Commercially aware.
- Good communicator both written and spoken.
- Team player, able to work well with people from across many different aspects of the business.
- Supportive and appreciative of the ITV portfolio regardless of own taste and interests.
- Media experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Gmail.
- Experience working on Apple Macs is beneficial but not essential.
- Experience working on any BARB audience data programmes (for example TechEdge or Media Ocean) beneficial but not essential.
