 The team

The Transformation Management Office is responsible for ITV’s ongoing transformation, on behalf of the Management Board. We work with teams from all across ITV, driving the delivery of programmes and making sure we’re prioritising the people side too.

The role

We are currently looking for a Training Specialist who will be responsible for delivering effective training for the RACS transformation programme.

The RACS programme has been established to transform the way ITV systemises and exploits rights and how it manages and fulfils its financial obligations. Rights are the ‘stock in trade’ of ITV, the IP fundamental for the business to be able to maximise the value of its production, procurement, use and distribution of content. It is a highly complex transformation programme that touches every part of ITV’s business and will drive significant transformation to processes, ways of working and technology over the coming years.

The role will lead the development of training content using a range of suitable formats; this might include written user guides, videos and interactive training material. You will support the co-ordination and set-up of facilitated sessions. It will be important for this role to have an appetite to continuously improve by capturing feedback, identifying updates and iterating content and plans.

The role will entail but not be limited to:

  • Defining and owning a training material development plan, taking into account sign-off periods; managing the delivery of this plan
  • Identifying and managing dependencies e.g. process mapping, training environments and user acceptance testing
  • Developing effective, role-based training and support materials using a variety of methods (e.g. reference guides, slide packs for facilitated sessions, recorded demo videos)
  • Working with the Technology team to develop any in-system guidance
  • Defining a training delivery plan, which may include train-the-trainer elements
  • Setting-up and co-ordinating the delivery of training sessions, working with facilitators and Business Leads
  • Managing the storage of training content
  • Measuring training effectiveness, capture feedback, identifying required updates / additional training and iterating content / plans
  • Managing the handover of training content to the Business As Usual teams
  • Tracking training progress against plan, raising and managing risks, issues and dependencies using programme governance

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • A solid understanding of training principles, methodology and tools
  • Demonstrable experience of owning training activity (development of content and delivery of sessions) with successful outcomes within a complex organisation
  • Previous experience working on a change or transformation programme
  • Experience of developing high quality content in a variety of formats (e.g. reference guides, demo videos) with high attention to detail

Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

  • Experience of working with innovative tools and being creative with the way technical content is presented
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to present to and engage teams at all levels
  • Strong consultative, relationship management, networking and influencing skills
  • A proactive, resilient, forward-thinking team player
  • Preferable: experience within a media organisation
